Today was a day to relax and enjoy this island.
Because Coronado is only 33 square miles you can walk to most things.
We headed down to Ferry Landing Marketplace.
Asher helped Grace take in the beautiful San Diego skyline.
The kids located a cute little crab in the ocean.
This lady was the only one brave enough to fetch it for a closer look.
Adorable right?
After some ColdStone we decided it was time to head to Coronado Central beach.
The weather was perfect, but if you got wet you would get a bit of a chill.
So we headed to the beach fully clothed.
Girls: Collect seashells.
Boys: High-tail it to the waves!
Scotty hasn't been on a beach in 7+ years.
It's one of those obstacles we've never figured out.
Until this trip. After a phone call or two we found a beach that had access to the lifeguard tower by wheelchair. Once we got there we borrowed this awesome beach wheelchair.
It's like the monster truck of wheelchairs.
It took even more coaxing to get him out of the chair and onto the sand with me,
but I managed it.
My Dad: Notoriously the most overdressed man at the beach.
This was great to see Scotty enjoy himself when at first he'd decided it
just wasn't possible.
The folks getting some rays. On their elbows and faces I guess.
When the boys left the water and were freezing the sand burying began.
It was a way to get warm and get sand in every crevice of your body.
Behold the mermaid.
This was definitely one of our best days.
