California: Day 3 "This Place is a Zoo"

These kids love a zoo, and the San Diego Zoo is a real treat. 

So huge and shaded. 

Everyone carrying their own map was a necessity.

 This pygmy hippo was a huge hit.  

 This large group of gorillas was also amazing. We watched them eat their lunch. 

Mom loved every minute. 

We decided to hit the animal show. Mom kept motioning for me to get out my camera. 

Unbeknownst to me Aidan had been asked before the show to come on stage.

He got a lot of one on one time with this really smelly seal. 

The relationship started with a handshake.

 He then fed her dinner. 

 And of course, ended with a goodbye hug,

 and kiss.  Oh that boy was stinky for the rest of the day, but he had a huge grin.

 Chloe and I rode together in the aerial tram. 

 We hit the 4D movie where I watched Grace more than the penguin movie. 

When it started to snow inside the theatre the look on her face was priceless.

 After the long day walking around the zoo a dip in the pool with our favorite otter-Pop

was necessary.
